Located at 164 Allen Street New York city, TEDDY BOY is an incredible mens and womens retail boutique. Luckily for us, a friend of mine, Casey RAnderson Lives and works in NYC as a Filmmaker/Photog/Fashionisto/Overall badass dude. He recently shot a short teaser for the Teddy Boy shop and it turned out real smooth with a simple classic feel. I always enjoy sharing the work of friends and fellow associates, just wanted to pass this little gem along to keep the inspiration flowing. Easy.

WRATH ARCANE was started on January 3rd, 2006 when Cleveland boutique owner Brian O’neill called Cleveland designer and long-time friend Sean Bilovecky. “We’re tired of “BIG LABELS” (clothing companies, oil companies, governments, etc.) having so much influence on the ways that people live their lives. WRATH ARCANE taken literally means “secret anger”, or “forgotten rage”. To us it means that people seem to have forgotten the fact that changing their environment for the better will change their lives for the better. We want our customers to feel that they are buying more than just a trendy piece of sportswear. We never want a model to sell our line. That’s why we hide their faces. Too many brands are 90% model, 10% clothing… and 0% about making our industry better. WRATH ARCANE is doing everything in its power to help change the current downward spiral of the apparel production industry in the United States. The label is committed to expanding it’s network of like-minded designers, domestic manufacturers, and environmentally conscious fabric mills. WRATH ARCANE holds true to the ideal that what’s behind the label is equally as important as the garment the label is attached to. WRATH ARCANE is made in USA.” – wratharcane.com

For the upcoming A/W10 season, the Wrath Camp has brought us their new endeavor entitled “War to Restore.” Once again bringing to the table a solid collection that is both well rounded and progressive. This line continues to push the envelope by blending experimental components that provide functionality, as well as a unique aesthetic.  This year we saw incredible double zipper concept hoodies, button scarfs, and of course a great selection of detailed wovens. Stay posted for more updates and be on the look out for the Spring drop arriving in the next month. Easy.

“Beta Unit is an independent clothing label based in Encinitas, California. Focused on wearability, unconventional functionality, and engineering the perfect fit. Garments are carefully constructed from high quality and comfortable fabrics, often with unexpected details and experimental function. As a small group of designers who grew up in the 80’s and 90’s, inspiration is drawn from the unintentional art caused by imperfections and limitations with technology as seen in primitive computer graphics, ancient photography, broken fax machines, malfunctioning code, etc… As the name suggests, Beta Unit prefers and aims to produce the raw, unrendered art form in their designs.”

We are extremely proud to be part of the west coast stockists for Beta Unit, as they continue to prove their incredible knack for design. Their latest offering for A/W 10 is of course nothing short of epic and continues in there push to create new and innovative style. Of course they continued with there incredible array of waxed denim pieces ranging in colors from Gray, Burgundy, and Blue. Alongside these Beta Unit introduced us to their version of knitwear, which takes traditional materials and seemingly constructs them for the future. With hoods that unbutton to shawls, and cardigans with front panels that are removable these Southern Californians really know how to create garments built in fantasy that function for a real world.

“SURFACE TO AIR is a unique group operating in contemporary fashion, communication and film Born in Paris in 2000. At the beginning in the late 90’s Surface To Air consisted of a group of friends who wanted to work on projects they liked. Year after year, the team has grown into a multidisciplinary company spanning across creative domains such as fashion, graphics, photography, design, music, film. Today each company develops its own activity but always within the Surface To Air vision.” Phoenicia Association had the opportunity recently to view one of their many great endeavors, jewelery manufacturing. With a a focus on multi fingered rings and dark imagery, this collection finds itself on the cusp of modern yet still rooted in classic simple design. As we showcase this product we hope you understand that NOTHING IS CONFIRMED and this is simply a inside look for you the customer. We want to be able to showcase the latest in trends and not confuse anyone with what we might carry in the store. That being said we hope you enjoy this collection as much as we do and stay tuned over the next week from more details about the upcoming A/W10 season. easy.

Our recent trip to Las Vegas afforded us the opportunity to meet with brands to preview their upcoming A/W 10 collections. It was a whirlwind of meetings and a lot of walking from one convention to another while trying to avoid the hordes of people clogging the sidewalks. Amongst all the madness we saw some amazing collections and also picked up some great new brands for next season. Over the next few days we will be showing some of the coverage we got from the conventions along with details about the up coming looks for the fall season. Here are just a few quick snaps by Greg Gainor who documented the entire trip with us.
