While most of the youth complain about the dwindling music scene, I was fortunate to catch two premiere acts this past week in this lovely desert we call home.

On December 10th TMFGLK aka The Mother Fucking Gaslamp Killer slayed the cherry lounge in Tempe. Heavy tunes from all across the board including brand new cuts from fellow Low End Theory cohorts Flying Lotus and Daedelus. He recently dropped his debut “My Troubled Mind” on Brainfeeder records and is working on his latest mix from his japan tour. Here are two lovely tracks from that latest release…
On December 12th San Franciscan native Ana Sia brought her blend of “global slut psy-hop” to the Rogue Bar in Scottsdale. She thoroughly destroyed faces while maintaining a sexy mix of bass heavy grooves. With local support contributing their own mixes of dubstep, glitch, break beats, two-step, etc. EdotC, Anthony “Hartbreaks,” and Living Humans Being, cracked off what turned out to be a massive Saturday Night.
Here is some video of Ana Sia rocking out a crowd in Nashville…
Currently showing the photography work of Dash Aiken, Phoenicia Association collaborated with the artist on a run of three custom screen printed t-shirts. Limited to seventy five total black and white they are hand screened on bamboo tees from Continental Clothing.
